Eddie Ferenz, Johnstown Jets Player, EHL Jersey Devils GM, Philadelphia Phillies Travelling Secretary

Eddie Ferenz was best known as the traveling secretary for the Philadelphia Phillies for 30 years. He was also a player for the Johnstown Jets back in the 1950s, a PA announcer and front office guy with the Philadelphia Ramblers in the early 60s, Assistant GM with the Johnstown Jets, and GM for the Jersey Devils. In 1967 alone, Ferenz started the year in the Johnstown Jets front office, spent the summer as PA announcer at Connie Mack Stadium for the Phillies, and then in September was named General Manager of the EHL Jersey Devils. Nice work if you can get it.

  1. I thought Eddie Ferenz was also the first Flyers' PA address announcer but did that job for only a few months. Can anyone corroborate that?
